LiveGrades Parent & Student Sign-In

Harrison County Schools & Citynet

Working Together

Beginning with the 2005-2006 school year, Citynet and the Harrison County Schools system began development of a new and very easy to use communication tool called LiveGrades®.  The system was developed with the assistance of 60 teachers and administrators who provided input, testing, and hands-on experience with the online grading and communication application.

LiveGrades® system allows for constant communications between the classroom teacher, their students, and the students parents or guardians.

From the educator's perspective, this new system provides easily utilized methods to update grades, homework assignments, the ability to send private and secure messages to students and parents, and the system is directly tied to the West Virginia Education Information System (WVEIS).  This allows the teacher to utilize one, user friendly and intuitive interface.

Students and their parents/guardians can log into the web portal to gain instant access to live, up to the minute grades so they can closely monitor their progress in their classes and use this system as a means to focus efforts for improvement. Parents can create a profile and then attach multiple students, allowing them to monitor each of their children's grades online from a single interface with only one login to remember.

LiveGrades® also follows the student even if they change schools.

The partnership between Citynet and Harrison County Schools has lead to the county-wide adoption of the LiveGrades® system.

Citynet is pleased to be a part of this exciting partnership.  Citynet and the Harrison County Board of Education - working together for education and the community in which we live!
