Tina Lopez and Linda Griffith will serve as the school nurse for Norwood Elementary, Nutter Fort Primary, and Bridgeport Middle School. Some of the services that they provide to our students include:

Performs health assessments, interprets medical data, and makes recommendations
-
Assesses health care needs of students
-
Identifies health risks and develops appropriate health care plans
-
Monitors and enforces student compliance with state immunization laws
-
Acts as a multi-disciplinary team leader
-
Instructs and supervises school personnel in health related procedures
-
Teaches Family Life Curriculum to seventh grade students
-
Monitors communicable disease outbreaks and provides education concerning diseases
-
Acts as a resource person for faculty and staff
-
Conducts health screenings (vision, hearing, and dental)
-
Participates in IEP and 504 meetings as necessary
