Burger King Scholars Award
Amount: $1000
Requirements: 2.5+ GPA, plan to attend 2 or 4yr. college, univ, or
 votech school in the fall, work an average of 15 hours per week or 40 weeks
per year, actively involved in community service activities, financial need.

Deadline: MAIL YOURSELF, postmarked by 2/2/09
 
 
CocaCola Scholars
Amount: $5,000, renewable (50 awarded) and $2,500,
 renewable (200 awarded).
Requirements: 3.0+ GPA, plan to attend an accredited US
institution, demonstrated leadership, commitment to community.
Cannot be child or grandchild of CocaCola employee.
Applications: Online at www.cocacolascholars.org
Deadline: October 31, 2008
The American Value Essay Scholarship application is available in the guidance office.
Prudential Leaders Scholars application is available in the guidance office.
The counselors have information on an open house at the Robert C. Byrd Aeroapace Center in Bridgeport.

The PSAT will be given to interested college-bound juniors on Wednesday, October 15.  Cost is $13.00.  See the counselors to sign up.
This test will be given free to the first 25 college bound sophomores who sign up.  See the counselors. 

 Please be patient with the layout of this site.  It seems that the Windows Vista we use at home to input content may not be entirely compatible with this site.  Whenever possible we will input content from school so that you view our information in a layout or format that we intended.   We appreciate your visiting this site.   

Congratulations to Brett Floyd who was recently recognized as a National Merit Semifinalist.  Brett's PSAT score earned him this honor.  Current sophomores and juniors may take the PSAT on October 15.  See the counselors to register.

The Harrison County College Night will be October 15 at the Meadowbrook Mall at 6 pm.  Parents are welcome and encouraged to attend with their child.

Students who want to play collegiate sports must register with the NCAA at www.ncaaclearinghouse.net.  It is your responsibility to do this and to make sure you are taking the high school courses to qualify you to play collegiate athletics.  See the counselors if you are unsure about this process.

Mrs. Moore has a student-use computer in her office.  If you need to complete an ACT or SAT application, a post -secondary school application, financial aid applications, etc., you are welcome to visit her office to use this computer.

Students are urged to visit the counseling office to check credits for graduation. 

A representative of Alderson-Broadddus College will visit Liberty on Monday, October 6, at 9 a.m. to speak with interested seniors.  Seniors who submit their admissions application on that morning will have their application fee waived.
