Mr. Brad Underwood
Mr. Brad Underwood, Principal of Lincoln High School believes that the mission of Lincoln High School is to provide learning opportunities in all curricular and curricular activities and create an educational atmosphere which makes the total school experience relevant to life through implementation of a comprehensive educational program.
Mr. Underwood realizes that this is a very broad reaching statement but also encompasses all that this high school has stood for the past 29 years!
Mr. Underwood is a graduate of Salem College and West Virginia University. He taught math at Washington Irving High School from 1978-1995. He then moved to Robert C. Byrd High School when it opened in 1998 where he remained until becoming assistant principal at Lincoln High School in 1999. He became principal at Lincoln High School in 2004.
An interesting fact about Mr. Underwood is that he was head boys basketball coach at both WI and RCB for 17 years. His teams won 247 games during that time. The 1995-1996 team advanced to the AA State Champion Game, losing to Fairmont Senior High School 61-59. During his coaching career he had four teams advance to the State Tournament.
Mr. Jeff Osbourn
Jeff Osbourn, Assistant Principal and Athletic Director at Lincoln High School, graduated from Fairmont State University in 1977. He obtained his masters degree from Salem International University in 1998, and his administration certification in educational leadership from WVU and Salem in 2001.
Mr. Osbourn began his teaching career at North View Junior High School in 1978, before transferring to South Harrison High School, where he taught Health and Physical Education at both schools. In 2004, Jeff became the Assistant Principal at Lincoln High School, and in 2006 assumed the duties of Athletic Director. He continues to serve in both capacities.
Mr. Osbourn coached football at North View and South Harrison from 1978-1982. He also coached boys varsity basketball for SHHS for eleven years, finishing undefeated in 1986. Jeff became the girls varsity basketball coach at Lincoln from 1995-2000, where he had an undefeated season in 2000. Mr. Osbourn also coached the golf team for 22 years at SHHS from 1982-2004.

Mr. Gary Oldaker, Assistant Principal
Gary Oldaker, Assistant Principal at Lincoln High School graduated from Fairmont State University in 1995. He received his master’s degree from West Virginia University in 2002. Mr. Oldaker taught mathematics at Washington-Irving High school for one semester then made the transition to the newly constructed Robert C. Byrd High School where he continued to teach mathematics. In 1999, Mr. Oldaker transferred to Lincoln High School and taught until 2006 when he became assistant principal.
Mr. Oldaker’s philosophy focuses on a rigorous curriculum. He believes every student should be given an opportunity to succeed academically to the highest degree of his or her ability. Mr. Oldaker also believes in academic achievement being the driving force behind an all around successful high school.
