          WELCOME TO LINCOLN HIGH SCHOOL

Lincoln High School opened on Tuesday, September 5, 1978, to accommodate students, grades nine through twelve, from the Shinnston and Lumberport sections of Harrison County, West Virginia. It consolidated two former high schools, Shinnston High School and Lumberport High School. Lincoln High School derived its name from the first public school located in Harrison County in the vicinity of the nearby community of Gypsy. Site preparation began in the spring of 1975. Groundbreaking ceremonies for the building were held September 9, 1976. Cornerstone laying was June 4, 1977. A new addition was added which was completed for the school year of 94-95.

Greetings to All Parents:

We have recently posted to the www.allcanread.org site a survey for parents and want to encourage all parents of students in any Harrison County School to log on and complete.  This website is also accessible by logging on to http://harcoboe.com.  The survey is intended to better inform our school personnel about questions and concerns that parents may have.

Parent input is critical and invited.  We welcome all appropriate and concerned comments.  Please assist us in providing needed service to our students, families and communities.
