Teaching Experience:  My teaching experience has spanned 28 years in three counties (Roane, Braxton, and Harrison)  and I have completed my 6th year as an administrator.  I previously taught first and second grades at Lumberport Elementary School for sixteen years, after teaching at both Wallace Elementary and Sardis Elementary schools here in Harrison County.  I was the assistant principal at South Harrison Middle School for three years before having the opportunity to return to LES at the principal.  So, I've spent 34+ years in my profession...so far.  I'm so glad to be at LES!  :)

Family:  I have been blessed with two amazing children who are the loves of my life!  Stacey and Roger both attended Lumberport Elementary School for their entire elementary school careers, and both received an excellent education here!

Education:  I graduated from Glenville State College with dual degrees in elementary education and early childhood education.  I have a Masters Degree from Salem International University in curriculum and instruction, and I have a Masters Degree from West Virginia University in educational leadership.  Further, I've completed 72 hours beyond that.  I believe in lifelong learning.  :) 

I truly believe it "takes a village to raise a child."  We are so blessed here at Lumberport Elementary to have a wonderful 'village' or community!  Our students are the best, our staff is amazing (and highly qualified), and our parents and community partners are awesome.  Thank you to everyone who works with and for our students!
