Professional: This is my 11th year teaching early childhood education. I have spent ten years at Lumberport Elementary and one year at Wilsonburg Elementary.
Educational: I graduated from Fairmont State University with a Bachelors Degree in Early Childhood Education. Later, I earned a Masters Degree in Communication from West Virginia University. Preschool is great for developing proper social skills. Although I consider myself blessed as an experienced professional, I credit my students with constantly enhancing my desire to become a lifelong learner. Our preschool curriculum concentrates on developing the student's social, emotional, cognitive, literacy, language, mathematics and physical areas of development.
Personal/Hobbies: I live in Shinnston and have three children, who constantly challenge me to be a better parent. I also enjoy my five grandchildren, reading, movies, and cooking.
