Kindergarten Registration
If you have a child who will be 5 years-old on or before August 31, 2012, you need to register your child for Kindergarten to ensure a place for the 2012-2013 school year. Registration for students attending Lumberport Elementary School will be on Tuesday, February 21st from 8:30 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. at the new LES. No appointment is necessary. Please see below:
IF STUDENT IS CURRENTLY ENROLLED IN HARRISON COUNTY PRE-K
PARENTS MUST DO THE FOLLOWING:
If your child is currently enrolled in Harrison County School’s Universal Pre-K program, your child does not need to attend the registration. BUT, parents need to take the following documents to the home school where your child will beattending Kindergarten on the day of registration. Dates listed below.
(1) State Certified Birth Certificate
(2) Comprehensive Physical Form (Form completed and signed by physician within the last 365 days)
(3) Current shot record
(4) Proof of residence. (Example: Utility bill with physical address or a current tax receipt.)
Your child’s pre-K teacher will be able to provide you with copies of these documents, if needed. A Comprehensive Physical Form was needed at the time of entering Pre-k. An updated form is needed for
Kindergarten registration. Additional immunizations may be required as well.
IF STUDENT IS NOT CURRENTLY ENROLLED IN HARRISON COUNTY PRE-K
PARENTS MUST DO THE FOLLOWING:
If your child does not currently attend a Harrison County School program, parents need to take child to their home school for Kindergarten registration. At registration the child will receive a speech and language screening. Parents need to bring with them on that day the following documents.
(1) State Certified Birth Certificate (Cost: $12.00 -Forms will be available at school)
(2) Comprehensive Physical Form (Form completed and signed by physician within the last 365 days.)
(3) Current shot record
(4) Proof of residence. (Example: Utility bill with physical address or a current tax receipt.)
Children will not be permitted to begin school without the required documents.
