Mr. Roger's Neighborhood
Hello, my name is Larry Rogers and I teach Kaplan Reading for 6th, 7th, and 8th graders. I am happily married to my wife Kathy, and we have 2 children. Brad who is 26 and Holly who is 28. I love my family, rock and roll music, and old cars. Teaching at LMS is the best gig I ever had. What education means to me: To me, education means using holistic approach that is child centered. If a child has a difficulty in reading or math it probably goes much deeper. We need to treat the whole child; emotionally, physically, and academically to achieve success. Some of my other activities include the Governor's Summer Institute, WVU Institute of Labor Studies, Phase 9 technology training, Kaplan training, and A.I.M.S. My planning period time is 4th period from 10:20 to 11:10.
