West Virginia Scrapbook Homework:

This report will be due May 18th.

 

  • Famous West Virginian report (At least three paragraphs) We will be presenting our Famous West Virginian report Friday, May 18th.

The following are to be on your powerpoint slides:

  • 3 Industries and pictures
  • 3 Agricultures and pictures
  • Picture of your famous West Virginian and why he or she is a famous West Virginian
  • Governor and 1st lady (How he became governor)
  • Capitol History Include a picture of the capitol building
  • extra credit: Historical Sites (pictures and 2 or 3 sentences about what made it Historical.)

Reading: The week of ________, we will be reading a selection called "_____ "  by ________and taking the weekly test on Friday.

 

Math:  Please coontinue to help your child with subtraction, addition, and multiplication facts. Subtraction with regrouping is still giving several students difficulty.

We are now working with fractions and decimal fractions. Continue to work on the multiplication and addition facts!

 

Please help your child with the multiplication tables.    They need to know them as well as they know their name.


 Sign and return Monday Folders by Wednesday.

Announcements

Homework is to be turned in by 8:00 AM the following day. It will not be accepted after. The only exception is an absence.
Only make up work due to an absence will be accepted. When I enter grades into Live Grades, missing grades count as zeros.

Writing:   Practice cursive writing. Target the letters a, f, n, m,o, x, and w. Also work on the following combinations: or (as in flavor), ow  (as in how), br (as in brown), and vo (as in volume).
