Vision Statement
The faculty and staff at Robert C. Byrd High School envision our school as a facility of continuous education and learning for our students that will incorporate an effective, challenging curriculum which will lead to success after high school. Our role in the community will be one that supports effective education for all. We will
- Purchase and implement twenty-first century technology and skills
- Provide hands-on, appropriate training for teachers and staff to keep pace with our ever-changing technological society
- Reduce the number of dropouts
- Increase the number of graduates
- Effectively communicate with all members of the community
Student Standards for Robert C. Byrd High School 1. Respect property, yours, the school's and other people's.
2. Don't interfere with anyone's education, including your own.
3. Treat everyone in the building with respect and courtesy.
4. Make sure academic achievement takes precedence over every other activity.
5. Observe all policies and rules.
