Prerequisite: A U. S. citizen (some exceptions); 14 years of age; a student may enter the 2nd. semester with approval of the senior Army instructor and school official
Junior Reserve Officer's Training is a challenging course which provides orientation and training in leadership skills, physical conditioning, effective communication, self-discipline, and the responsibilities and privileges of American citizenship. The first year student receives the foundation upon which to build in the succeeding years of ROTC. |

JROTC II: 7722
Credit: 1 unit
Prerequisite: successful completion of JROTC I
Second year students expand upon their first year of learning by more deeply examining aspects and techniques of leadership skills. They take charge of drill instruction and staff procedures. |

JROTC III: 7723
Credit: 1 unit
Prerequisite: successful completion of JROTC II
During their third year of JROTC, students further develop leadership potential and learn military history. They improve map reading skills and appreciate the importance of physical fitness. |

JROTC IV: 7724
Credit: 1 unit
Prerequisite: successful completion of JROTC III
Seniors continue to develop leadership potential and practice effective communication along with the importance of staff relations. They expand their knowledge of military history. |
