Having served the students of Harrison County for 33 years, Martin Pigg Jr. has been the assistant principal at Robert C. Byrd since July 2004. Previously, he was a counselor at United Technical Center. While at the United Technical Center, he earned the WV Outstanding Vocational Teacher award in 1999.
Mr. Pigg has a Masters in Educational Leadership and a Masters in Guidance and Counseling from West Virginia University and a Bachelor of Arts from Salem University. His philosophy on education: “Education is an ever-changing endeavor.” In his spare time, Mr. Pigg enjoys hunting, motorcycle riding, and playing with his grandson
