About Me: I graduated from Fairmont State University with a B.A in English and Journalism Education. I enjoy teaching here at South Harrison High School, and I have found that the school and community have welcomed me with open arms. I look forward to serving this school, community, and county for years to come.

Classes:
English: Students are exposed to a variety of Literature including Drama, Novel, Short Story, and Poetry. Writing incorporates essays, research based writing, and creative writing. Grammar is taught in conjunction within the reading and writing units. Prerequisites include satisfactory performance in English 9.
Yearbook: Students take a hands-on approach to the publication of a yearbook. Students design layouts, write and edit text, and assist with the submission of the Talon. Prerequisites include keeping an ‘A’ throughout English classes and a 3.0 overall GPA. Also, students must submit an application for approval.
AP Literature: A college level class designed to invoke a high level of thinking and understanding. Students will be reading and analyzing a variety of literature. Upon successful completion of the class and the College Board Test, a student is eligible for college credit.
