Art Instructor

 Welcome to the Art Department. Students are required to have one credit in the arts to graduate.

Art I students are introduced to a wide variety of media. They receive instruction in drawing, watercolor, acrylic painting, India ink, pastel, prisma color, printing, sculpture, ceramics, and crafts.

Additional credits may be gained in Art II, Art III and Art IV for students who wish to continue their study. Art IV students are required to complete a portfolio.

Students have the opportunity to participate in a varirty of art shows and contests. South Harrison's Stacie Bowman had the honor of winning the Italian Heritage poster contest for 2007. She also placed second in the state in the Veterans of Foreign War art contest. Stuents are working on this years design for these contest.
