Summer school applications for Notre Dame High School are now available in the counselor’s office. Applications are due by the first day of summer school, June 14.
Information on the 2010 Black Walnut Festival Scholarship Pageant is now available in the counselor’s office. The pageant, open to students 16 years of age and older, will be held May 22 at Roane County High School. The entry deadline is April 17. See Mrs. Robinson for more information.
Attention all students: Are you looking for more than just your average summer job? The Transportation Technology Academy is offering PAID summer internships in Harrison County. Gain valuable work experience while earning $10/hour (for up to 30 hours) working in a STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) related career. Attention all sophomores: Your parents will be receiving a letter in the mail informing them of a 5-Year Plan Workshop on the same evening as Parent/Teacher Conference, March 23, 3:00-6:00. Please be advised that your 5-Year Plan must be complete BEFORE you will be able to schedule next year’s classes. Remember that many classes fill up quickly…to increase your chances of obtaining your desired schedule, strongly encourage your parents to accompany you at this workshop. The process is brief, painless, and will only take a few minutes.
Any junior student interested in attending the Governor’s Honors Academy (GHA) is encouraged to see Mrs. Robinson as soon as possible. If you consider yourself to be an outstanding student and good citizen, see Mrs. Robinson today to see if you are eligible to participate in this wonderful learning experience!!!!! Attention freshman, sophomore, and junior students: If you have earned at least a 3.25 GPA and would like to explore the myths and realities of college life while still in high school, you are encouraged to apply to attend the summer high school honors academy at Ohio University. UTC applications for next year are now available in the counselor’s office. Students who attend UTC this year will complete an application for next year and submit it to the office at UTC. Students are encouraged to apply early since some programs have very limited space. See Mrs. Robinson for an application today!!!!
