9 to 12th Grade Opportunities
Any student 16 or older interested in Summer Employment at Water Smith State Park, please see Mrs. Michael for an application. These positions are for Life Guards, (with proper certification) Museum attendant and groundskeeper/helper.
AEROSPACE Engineering Scholarship – Must be a graduating senior who intends to enroll in an aerospace engineering program, must attend a WV college/university, must be a resident of WV, must have a minimum GPA of 3.0 (See Mrs. Michael for Application must be postmarked by April 2nd) or print application from www.maacinc.com
NASA IV &V Engineering Apprentice Program (June 13- August 5, 2011) Requirements:
· Student Applicants must be U.S. Citizens
· Must be a High School Sophomore, Junior or Senior,
· Be 16 years of age by program start date and live and attend school within a 50 mile radius of Fairmont, WV. 26554
· Interns will be paid a stipend of $2400 for 320 hours of employment (approx. 8 weeks)

Any Junior or Senior eligible to compete for scholarships in a contest with the University for Creative Careers. www.scad.edu/scadchallenge. High School Jr. or Sr. and students completing their last two years of secondary school, compete to showcase their work at SCAD signature events, and may become eligible for scholarships to attend SCAD, the most comprehensive art and design university in the world. Any 9-12th grade student interested in doing motivational talks to 4-9 years old in your community see Mrs. Michael for application and information, or contact Richard Woofter at (304) 838-2963 or Woofterrg@aol.com. This program sponsored through the Moose Lodge. Attend training and do just three talks you will be presented with a $250 scholarship from a District II Moose Lodge.
