We are learning geometry skills and identifying plane and solid figures. We have learned how to count the number of flat surfaces, edges and vertices to given figures.
At Home Count money, make change, tell time and observe billboards and signs to identify words that we have learned and how to spell and use them. Read books for extra practice and FUN. Remember: Trips to the public library are free! A book can go anywhere that you can.
As we end the school year, there are several skills that would be helpful to practice to get our students ready for Third Grade.
Third Grade is a critical year for students. The focus takes a drastic change from learning to read to reading to learn. With basic skills mastered, students can spend more time on the tasks at hand instead of learning or relearning the basics.
