 What's Happening?

In January and February, our focus will shift to the application of the skills that we have learned this fall. The students will begin to write in journals every morning. An even greater emphasis will be placed on reading and writing. After practicing reading books at home, the students will be able to read to the class. Our themes for January and February include winter, snow, penguins and bears. We will also begin addition and subtraction.

Homework Assignments

Homework will continue to involve handwriting. We will be reviewing each letter of the alphabet. As we cover each letter, the students will practice printing the letter at school and at home.
When we begin working on addition, the students will receive homework in this area.
