Homework Tip
When you finish reading the morning newspaper, turn it into a learning tool. Cut the front page apart into headlines, articles, and photographs. Divide the clippings into three piles. Ask your child to try to match them up. He/she will need to use reading & critical thinking skills to complete the task.

Dear West Milford School Visitor:
West Milford’s staff is committed to the education of all students grades Pre-K through 5th grade using 21st Century Skills.
Technology is integrated with “presentation stations” in every classroom. These laptops, interactive white boards, LCD projectors, and document cameras are used throughout daily lessons.
Four computer labs including a new Apple MAC lab and portable Apple laptop lab are utilized by our staff and students to enhance the educational process.
Students learn keyboarding skills and use of essential programs including Microsoft, word, powerpoint, and excel.

WESTEST2 testing for ALL students in grades 3-5 will be held Monday through Thursday—May 17th-20th
Donate your change to benefit the Lost Creek Food Pantry.
We are collecting donations to purchase much-needed food items for the pantry. Students may drop of donations to the barrels in the school office.
Recycle Day will begin at 9am on May 22nd and continue through 5pm on May 23rd
SUMMER SCHOOL will be held at West Milford again this summer. Students will attend June 16 through July 22 on Mondays through Thursdays from 8:30-11:30 am.

As the weather turns warmer and summer clothing appears, please remember that the county policy does not permit spaghetti straps or tank tops. Flip flops are permitted, but discouraged due to safety issues. Students may not participate in organized running activities if they are wearing flip flops due to risk of injury.
