The January Employee of the Month is so highly appreciated for the way he performs his duties that a whole department nominated him for this honor.
Mark Ware is a custodian who started with the Board of Education as a sub in 1995. He became a regular employee in 1997 and has served in this building since February, 2009. It’s his work there that’s gotten a lot of attention.
In their nomination letter, the Special Education Team members on the first floor said Mark is always pleasant, always working, and always going the extra mile to help everyone in the building.
When he painted the first floor bathroom, he took extra care and made it look wonderful, they said. And he’s done a great job outside, restoring the lights and making the building more aesthetically pleasing. It’s allowed the homes around the building feel we are a good neighbor.
His supervisor, Rebecca Jones, said Mark is well deserving of this honor. She said that if she needs help loading a piece of equipment, he willingly helps her. He does anything and everything without complaint, which makes her job easier. Rebecca notes that Mark also does military duty monthly, too.
Finally, the nominators said Mark exemplifies the work ethic, positive attitude and attention to details that makes us all better employees.
The Board congratulated Mark for doing his job so well that he's highly thought of by his co-workers. He was presented with several gifts, incluing a plaque from MCM Business Systems, a gift bag, a blanket from Doug Gray at Nationwide Insurance and dinner, courtesy of Philip’s Pasta Cucina. He is shown with board member Chuck Reider, Rebeca Jones, and his son, John Mark
