Jon Griffith
Mr. Griffith teaches many of the computer courses at Bridgeport High School including Computer Information, Programming I and Programming II. His duties also include serving as the schools network administrator and maintaining the school web page. He also serves as the Science Department Chairperson for BHS. Bridgeport High School's new Robotics club was started in 2010 and is sponsored by Mr. Griffith.
Mr. Griffith earned his bachelors degree in Chemistry from West Virginia University and received certification to become a teacher through Fairmont State. He has been recognized by Who's Who of American High School Teachers on numerous occasions. He has also received several technology related grants and has taught many technology courses for teachers through the WVHTC in Fairmont.
Coach Griffith took over the BHS Boys Track Team in 1989 and continues to lead that program today. He also worked with the 9th grade football team as an assistant coach from 1989 through 1996 and as the head coach from 1997 through 2005. Starting with the fall of 2009 Coach Griffith has been working as the volunteer assistant for the Cross Country team.
