A Bridgeport High School teacher for five years, Stephanie teaches Spanish and Dance and formerly taught Mathematics. She received her B.A. in Foreign Languages and M.A. in Secondary Education from West Virginia University and is currently completing work on her doctoral degree in Curriculum and Instruction. In addition, Stephanie has collaborated with WVU in teaching professional development courses for Harrison County. Stephanie has worked to develop the Bridgeport High School dance program, which has more than tripled in size during her time here, becoming one of the largest and most successful dance programs in the state. She is also responsible for the auditioned BHS Dance Ensemble. With aspirations to increase interest in dance education throughout West Virginia, she is a member of the WV Secondary Dance Alliance and is currently working with the WV Department of Education to develop arts instructional guides available as on-line resources for teachers state-wide. |
