Hi, I'm Karen Carroll, but the kids call me Miss Karen. I have been teaching Special Education for over 30 years. Teaching these children has been a life-long passion of mine. I can't even imagine teaching another type class. I can see something special and unique about every child I have taught. It is so gratifying to see these children progress. Each positive step, no matter how small or how long it takes, is huge. My philosophy is that all children can learn. ....and while they learn from me, I learn from them. UPDATED FOR WEEK OF Feb. 6-10, 2012 READING/LA: GREEN GROUP The spelling words this week are long e words spelled with an /ee/. Students are expected to be able to, show that they understand what each word means,and to read, spell, and write the words in isolation and sentences. Reading is leveled for each student according to his/her ability. They read sight word readers and fluency books every day. MATH: Weekly Test on Friday on each student's level.
