Welcome to my page! Mrs. Rose My name is Mrs. Rose! I am one of the 4 Reading Specialists/Title I Teachers at Big Elm Elementary School. My qualifications include a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Elementary Education from Fairmont State University and a Master of Arts Degree in Reading Education from West Virginia University. What type of support does the Title I Teacher Provide? The Title 1 Reading teacher will provide student support in a variety of ways. Through administering reading assessments, evaluating standardized test scores (where applicable), and by conferencing with the classroom teacher, the student will be offered services either in the regular classroom or in the Title 1 Reading classroom depending on the student’s needs. Our goal is to provide students with individualized instruction that is differentiated and meets the needs of each child. Additionally, I coordinate the Spelling Bee at Big Elm Elementary and assist John DeMarco in the Math Field Day Assessment. Parental support is a key component in the educational process. Below are some websites that parents may share with their child to foster learning and reinforce essential skills.
