4th Grade - Mr. Koreski's Homepage

 About Mr. Koreski

This is my second stint as a teacher at Johnson Elementary.

I spent 17 years as a special education teacher at Johnson , before spending 5 years teaching fourth and fifth grades at Nutter Fort Elementary.

SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENTS FOR MY CLASS:

Spelling tests will be given every Friday (unless there is a short week, which will move the test to Thursday).  Assignments should be written in assignment books daily and initialed by parent or guardian.  Planning schedule is as follows: Monday - Music: Tuesday - P.E.:  Wednesday - Computer: Thursday - Library: Friday - P.E. or Computer.  Students are leveled for Reading and Math based  on their Westest scores from last Spring.  Students can be moved from group to group (either higher or lower) based upon their classroom performance.  Parents, if you can, please send a box of tissues to school with your child. Please fill out and sign all documents your child brings home and return them to school as promptly as possible. If you need to ask or tell me something, it is best and easiest to simply send a note with your child. You can call me at school if necessary during my planning period which is 8:48 - 9: 28 Mon. - Thurs.  and from 11:00 - 11:40 on Friday.

4th grade usually take 2 -3 field trips during the year. Let it be known that the student's behavior could impact whether they will be allowed to participate.  Students will need gym shoes for P.E. class (Tuesdays and sometimes Friday), so having an extra pair they can leave in their locker would be great. Also, on the playground, if they choose to play kickball, wiffle ball, tag or any other activity where they might be running, they would need gym shoes and not flip flops or sandals.

After seven checkmarks your child will receive a letter cut in conduct.

When the students arrive in the morning they are to go straight to bus room, NOT to their homeroom to drop their books and or bookbag off, or stop at bathroom unless it is an emergency.

I look forward to meeting and working with all your children!!!  Let's have a great year!!!!

                                                                         THANKS!    MR. KORESKI
