SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENTS FOR MY SCIENCE AND HEALTH CLASSES:

 NEWSLETTER:

Things that are important to know...

I will be the Science and Health Teacher for all Fourth Grade students for the

2011-2012 school year.  I DO assign homework on a reguar basis, so please check

your child's assigment book daily. As long as the weather is decent, I will try to have

students outside for part of our Health component, so please have your child keep

appropriate shoes and coats at school.

  •   Assignment books are to be checked and signed by a parent/guardian daily after all the work is complete.
  •   Spelling is to be completed daily in school.  Weekly word and sentence dictatation tests will be given the last day of the week, which is usually Friday.
  •   Classes begin at 8:00 in the morning and continue until 2:30.  Please make every attempt to schedule appointments after school.  A doctor's appointment card is required for excusal.
  •   If possible please send in a box a tissues.  All other school supplies are provided by our LEVY monies.
  •   Please sign all documents and promptly return to school.
  •   Field Trips may be taken this year.  Student conduct throughout the year will impact their participation on the trip.
  •    Feel free to use the assignment book to send notes to me.  Just let your child know that I need to see it.
  •   Planning periods occur M-TH from 8:43-9:23.  Students need play shoes for gym class and for recess if they want to play playground games.  A great idea is to keep an extra pair in the locker.
  •   Conduct is based on a check mark system.  0-7 is an "A", 8-14 a "B", and so forth.
  •   Students need to report to busroom upon arrival to school and not to their homeroom.
  •   Parents must check into the office and get clearance before going to a teacher's room.

This will be a great year!  I am looking forward to meeting you and working to

REACH FOR THE STARS!
