I enjoy working with students and watching their growth academically and emotionally throughout the year.

I’ve been teaching for over 30 years, 28 of which have been at Johnson. I serve as the teacher representative to the PTA, and have for many years, am primary lead teacher and worked for six years as teacher education coordinator for the WVU pre-service teachers.

The teaching of reading through “book clubs” and literacy stations, along with a more hands-on, thoughtful approach to math have kept my teaching current and meaningful. SmartBoard technology has energized my lessons.
