About Mrs. Fulks
Mrs. Julie Fulks has been the counselor at Johnson Elementary for 16 years. She received a Bachelor's of Science in Psychology from Fairmont State College and a Master's of Arts in Counseling and Guidance from West Virginia University. Some of her duties include individual and group counseling, as well as classroom developmental guidance. She currently is a member of the Local School Improvement Council, the K-5 Curriculum Team, and the 504 Team and is the chairperson of the Student Assistance Team. Mrs. Fulks is the Safe and Drug-Free Schools Coordinator and the Wellness Facilitator for Johnson Elementary. She currently runs eight groups for children of separated and divorced families (second through fifth grades) and one fifth grade girls' friendship group. In October, she coordinated a fifth grade Career Awareness Day and is planning to take the fifth grade to West Virginia University in May for "Day on Campus".
Julie was raised in Bridgeport and currently resides there with her husband, Paul and two daughters, Rachel and Caroline.
