   WELCOME TO LINCOLN HIGH SCHOOL

Lincoln High School opened on Tuesday, September 5, 1978, to accommodate students, grades nine through twelve, from the Shinnston and Lumberport sections of Harrison County, West Virginia. It consolidated two former high schools, Shinnston High School and Lumberport High School. Lincoln High School derived its name from the first public school located in Harrison County in the vicinity of the nearby community of Gypsy. Site preparation began in the spring of 1975. Groundbreaking ceremonies for the building were held September 9, 1976. Cornerstone laying was June 4, 1977. A new addition was added which was completed for the school year of 94-95.

Lincoln High School Digital Learning Day
February 1, 2012

During Mrs. Cole's third block Globaloria II class today we had the pleasure of introducing the world of Globaloria to our 10th Grade Honors English Class with teacher Mrs. Jackie Boyles. The Globaloria II students showed the English class their wikis, blogs, game along with their team page, the engagement between the two classes was wonderful and there were many questions asked about the games.  Our administrators, Mr. Underwood, Mr. Oldaker and Mr. Osbourn also stopped in to see what all the excitement was about....they were pleasantly surprised at the higher level thinking that was taking place through this class.  They all agreed that this is a wonderful program and Mr. Underwood, as well as myself, are grateful to have the opportunity to offer it at Lincoln High School.
