About Me: I am very happy to be joining the staff at MMS. I have been a school counselor since 2000. For the past 9 years I have been employed as a School Counselor with Lewis County Schools. I possess an M.A. in school counseling from WVU, and a B.S. in psychology from Fairmont State College.
Office Hours: 7:30 -3:00
Office location: After entering main doors, counselor's office is to the right. You must check in the main office prior to coming to counselor's office
The purpose of the school counseling program is to impart specific skills and learning opportunities in a proactive, preventive manner, ensuring all students can achieve school success through academic, career and personal/social developmental experiences.
A school counselor is someone who listens and does not judge. A counselor tells the truth, and maintains confidentiality.

2010 WV Sheriff’s Youth Leadership Academy
Student’s who will graduate from the 8th grade this year and enter the 9th grade in the fall of 2010 are eligible to apply for a cadet position at the WV Sheriff’s Youth Leadership Academy. Mrs. Parrish has applications in her office for any 8th grade students who are interested in applying. The deadline for applications is Friday, May 21, 2010.
JUNIOR CONSERVATION CAMP
The Harrison County Solid Waste Authority is accepting applications to attend Junior Conservation Camp held June 21 – 25, 2010 at Cedar Lakes Conference Center near Ripley, WV. The camp is open to students from the age of 11 through 14 years. No exceptions! See Mrs. Parrish for more information. The Harrison County Solid Waste Authority will provide the application fee for all students sponsored.
