Reading: long o spelled /oa/ and /ow/, author’s purpose, monitor and fix up
Writing: stories with a beginning, middle, and end, descriptive writing
Math: Addition and Subtraction with tens and ones(Ch. 20) , addition and subtraction facts

Notes from Mrs. Burnett
We are making t-shirts for our end of the year picnic. Please send a plain white washed t-shirt on Wed. PLEASE let me know on Wed. if you need me to purchase a shirt for your child. ( a paper is coming home today about this)
We will be having an end of the year celebration in our classroom on Wednesday, May 23 at 1:00. All family members (siblings, grandparents, aunts, uncles, etc.) are invited to attend. Please complete the paper coming home today and return so that I can get an approximate head count. Thank you! J

We had a fantastic adventure with COSI last week! A HUGE thank you to our PTSO and all of the parent volunteers. Learning and laughter filled the gym! J
If your child is going to breakfast, please remind him/her to go to the cafeteria before coming back to the classroom. Walkers will be dismissed to the cafeteria in the evenings. You may pick up your child at 2:20 from there.
Our planning time is 10:15-10:55. If you need to call me, please contact me during this time. J Planning Schedule: Mondays and Fridays- Music Tuesdays-PE, Wednesdays- Computers, Thursdays- Art. We will also be going to the library on Mondays.

Mrs. Burnett’s Lunch Bunch: Each day for the rest of the year, students can earn tickets for a weekly drawing.
The students selected come to the room with me on Friday and we enjoy lunch together.
