This is a tale of two schools. Their names were VanHorn and Harden, and being good schools, it was not their habit to squabble or to dally in other's business. Their sole purpose and love was in caring for the children in search of learning, meting out justice in their daily interaction, and the transference of knowledge from teacher to student. Throughout their long and prosperous careers, they shared the joys and glories of ministering elementary education to the children of the city of Salem and the surrounding area.
Happily they sat, day by day, thriving under their helpful condition, from foundation to rooftop. Without complaint they worked, and some would say that they were completely happy, which, in the strictest sense, it was true. However, if there was no room to alter the state of these two titans of academia, then there wouldn't be too much use in writing aout it, would there?
For one day , as VanHorn was surveying the land of his birth and his patriotism-the land he called home, he happened to see something that looked very much like him. He had never seen this before. This new sight looked grand, magestic, fun and not just a little imposing. VanHorn saw that this other place shared some special qualities that he had only ever seen in the mirror. For the first time in his life, he felt lonely. He didn't know that Harden was on the other side of the looking glass thinking surprisingly similar thoughts.
For years the two schools sat in their somber state, stewing in friendless thought. The people of Salem, though, had wonderful plans in mind for their friends, and, by the year 2007, the two schools were put together in the same place. The two were learning things like friendship, respect, sacrifice, selflessness, diligence, and camaraderie.
Inside the walls of the school, some of the best kids in the world are learning form these schools' example. What a wonderful place to begin a new story. This is the tale of one school.
