1. We are learning many things and reading some very good books. When you read a book with your child at home, ask them to tell you the main idea of the book and the details, the characters, the setting, what kind of story they read, why do you think the author wrote this book. This will be good practice for the skills we are learning in class. We are learning some new words this week in our reading discussion. They are teamwork, community and responsible.
2. Your child's agenda book and blue take-home folder should come home every evening and back the next day. I remind them of this every evening.
3. I will send home a list of spelling words and vocabulary words on the first day of the week. I have them put the lists in their take-home folder when I past them out.
4. Please remember to send a note when your child is absent, going home a different way than usual or must take medications. Thanks!!
5. Don't forget to send your DEAR Slips for our drawing on Friday. If you read at home with your child, fill out the slip I sent home the first day of the new nine weeks and return. Happy reading!
