Our class now has gym class on Wednesday.
We are reviewing the vocabulary words the little is a I have am see to we my like for me she with look he they of you. New words are that do are. We are working on beginning sounds in words and also ending sounds. We are working on the sound for h this week. We are blending sounds together in short vowel words. We are also discussing the beginning, middle, and ending of stories.
Please have your child practice reading all the little books that come home. The books that come home in a bag need to be returned the next day.
We practice counting every day. We have been counting by 5's and 10's.
We are practicing counting on from any given number.
We are also looking at a group of ten and counting on from 10 without recounting the group of 10.
At home you can have your child practice counting by ones. The goal is 100. Also, we will be working all year on recognizing numbers to 100 in random order.
