Non-Perishable Food Drive for Quiet Dell Pantry: We will be collecting non-perishable food items for Quiet Dell Pantry on Nov 17-21. Any contribution will be greatly appreciated by this organization. They are in desperate need at this time.
Parent-Teacher Conference: Conferences are scheduled for November 12 from 3:00-6:00 pm. If you are interested in a conference, please call school at 842-3421 to schedule a 15 minute visitation.
Make-Up Picture Day: Due to the loss of some pictures and absenteeism, Davis Studio will be here on Thursday, November 20 to do make – up pictures at 8:00.
Math Tribe: The Simpson Math Tribe is a program to encourage students to learn the basic facts for addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. Those students who demonstrate a mastery of the facts are recognized with a feather on a teepee. The following students earned their feathers the week of Oct 20-24: Addition: Joshua Meese, Mackenzie Griffith, and Sydny Guy. Subtraction: Haley Wilson and Mark Duez.
Robin Hood Try-Outs: Auditions will be held on November 17th at 4:00 pm at BHS for Robin Hood. The will need 50-60 students from k-12th grade. Rehearsals are from 4-8:30. Two shows will be held on Nov 22nd at 2:00 and 7:00 pm.
My Coke Rewards for Schools: As a school representative, I only want the best for our children, I know education plays a major role in shaping their lives. Halloween Parties: Thank you to everyone who supported our celebration. It appeared to go very smoothly.
News from the Nurse: School nurses will be performing 1st and 3rd grade screening, along with any teacher referrals in the next several weeks.

County Office Request: We have recently posted to the www.allcanread.org site a survey for parents and want to encourage all parents of students in any Harrison County School to log on and complete. This website is also accessible by logging on to http://harcoboe.com. The survey is intended to better inform our school personnel about questions and concerns that parents may have. Parent input is critical and invited. We welcome all appropriate and concerned comments. Please assist us in providing needed service to our students, families and communities.

HALLOWEEN PARTY:****PLEASE NOTE**** The party and parade will be on Friday, October 31 at 1:15. Homeroom Mothers only will be allowed to enter the classrooms at 1:00. Students will be permitted to leave school at 11:00 to go home for lunch and to dress in their costumes. Students must return to school by 1:00. Lunch will be served at school for those not able to leave. If your child remains at school, please send his/her costume in a bag.
Math Tribe: The Simpson Math Tribe is a program to encourage students to learn the basic facts for addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. Those students who demonstrate a mastery of the facts are recognized with a feather on a teepee. Charity Activity: As a school wide charity activity, we will be collecting for Operation Christmas Child. Operation Christmas Child is an organization that helps children all over the world living in poverty by providing them with a simple shoe box filled with child appropriate items. Suggested items are printed on the back of this form. Return all items by November 1st. They will be boxed together by an outside agency.

Breakfast: Breakfast is from 7:25-8:55 daily. If your child does not ride a bus, you must have him/her here at 7:30 in order to eat. The kitchen closes at 8:00. Final serving will be at 7:50. The cafeteria needs to be cleaned up and readied for gym at 8:15.
