Meet Our Administrators

The WIMS administrative staff consists of a full-time principal, a full-time assistant principal, and a part-time assistant principal.  All work cooperatively to meet the needs of the staff and students.  Two secretaries, Mrs. Messenger and Mrs. Kroll, assist the office.  Mrs. Shroyer serves as Guidance Counselor. 
 

About Our Principals

 

Mr. Hogue has served as Principal of Washington Irving Middle School since the 2004-2005 school year.  A past coach and athletic director, his 33 years of teaching experience include being a physical educator at WIMS and an assistant principal at near-by Robert C. Byrd High School. Mr. Hogue and his wife, also a Harrison County teacher, are lifelong residents of Clarksburg.   

   

Assistant Principal Mr. Tucker also joined the WIMS staff in 2004 along with Mr. Hogue. Mr. Tucker has worked in the Harrison County school system for 30 years.  His past teaching assignments included Physical Education, Health, and Driver’s Education.  Along with coaching basketball, track, and cross-country, he was the proud sponsor of the Key Club for over 16 years. Mr. Tucker also has two sons within the county school system, where his wife is an employee as well.

New to the administrative during 2007-2008 school year, Mrs. Ash comes to WIMS with 13 years of classroom experience. A former English and Journalism teacher at South Harrison High School, she holds Master’s degrees in Educational Leadership and School Guidance. A resident of Lost Creek, she is a wife and proud mother of a 14 month old son.
